It's the last weekend of August.....let that sink in real quick!  They say time flies when you are having fun, well that's total BS because most of us have been locked up in our houses for 6 months having very little fun yet here we find ourselves already sniffing Labor Day Weekend.  

Anyway, I missed the weekend update last week because I had to take an unexpected last second trip to New Jersey for a family issue.  I'm a guy that typically flies 120 times per year, this was my first flight since March 7th and it was a strange felling walking around a dead airport.  The biggest takeaway is that not having the option to drink on your flights sucks ass!  

On a positive note there has been some new emergency measures put in place by TABC to allow a vast majority of breweries, distilleries and wineries to open back up with some alterations to their food service options.  This means more tasting rooms and beer gardens with outdoor seating will be open for onsite consumption, food carts and bands!

🍺Acopon open 2-6 Friday/Saturday and 1-5 Sunday for cans to go and you can not enjoy your beer outside on the patio.  There will be food offerings from Yapa Empanadas as well as Fat Baby Burgers.  Stop in this weekend and enjoy some good beer and good food!

🍺 One Shot Distillery open 5-10 Friday-Sunday. Onsite drink service and growler fills. Yes you can buy and consume your beverage on site as well as support the food truck- Dripping Wings.  Have you seen their bloody marys?  They are insane!  Also released a new beat the heat cocktail this week, the Mogadishu Mile- a super refreshing blackberry mint moscow mule.    

🍺 Last Stand Brewing Company open 12-6 Friday/Saturday and 2-6 Sunday. Lots of beer to go options and signature slushees- order ahead online.  Beer Garden is open to enjoy your to go cans before you go.  Tons of shade.

🍺 Beerburg  Open 3-8 Friday, 12-8 Sat/Sun for onsite and to go orders. F Restaurant onsite with outdoor seating.  They have been hosting weekly virtual happy hours every Thursday, be sure to check it out this coming week.  If you haven't eaten here yet I highly recommend it! 

🍸 Treaty Oak Distilling open 12-9 Fri-Sun. Full restaurant and plenty of outdoor space to socially distance. Food, drinks, open space....the onsite restaurant- Alice's Restaurant, has opened back up for 5 day a week service Wed-Sun.  Also drop them a vote for best craft whiskey by voting online.  Link on their FB page. 

🍺 Jester King Brewery open 12-8. Reservation only. Lots of open space and great food options. Visit their website for reservation details.  They have a build your own pizza at home kit now for sale and availble for pick up.  Fun dinner activity for the family.  A few new wines released this week as well as Raspberry Grisette- a lighter barley, wheat and oats beer with a raspberry finish.  

🍺12 Fox Beer Co Open 12-9 Friday/Saturday; 12-7.  Beer garden is open, lots of spread out tables to enjoy food and music.  Up this week they have Sauce it Up wood fried pizza keeping your belly full while Alyssa Paige performs Friday starting at 5:30.  Saturday Douglas Gene will be on stage at 4pm.  They still have some discounted guest tap beers available 4 for $10 and are offering 20% off all merch and pint club memberships. 

🍸 Frog Pond Distillery open Saturday for bottle sales 1-6.  They offering premade mocktails of their signature drinks to go that can be picked up and then alcohol added when you get home.  

🍺 Twisted X Brewing Open Friday/Saturday 11-9 and Sunday 12-8. tasting room is open, Daniele's Pies making pizza and lots of open space to enjoy your drinks/pizza.  Twisted X has opened up the parking lot and areas around the tasting room, if you haven't been recently you should check it out.  

🍺 The Shady Llama sadly they are still unable to open due the executive order. Fingers crossed that will change soon, we miss the views and the Llamas!

🍺 Bell Springs Brewing Company open for pick up to go Fri-Sun 11-6.  Nothing is posted yet regarding plans for this weekend but it's very likely they will have some food options and outdoor seating to enjoy onsite.  check their FB for most up to date info.

🍺 Suds Monkey Brewing open 3-9 Fri/Sat, 3-7 Sunday. Pizza available onsite, tap room is open for dine in eating and the outdoor beer garden is open to the public.  They are releasing their Light American Pilsner today, order a head and pick up before it's gone. 

🍸 Desert Door Tasting room is back open!  Call ahead to check their hours and get out there to enjoy one of their many signature cocktails. 

🍺 Family Business Beer Company taproom is closed. To go beer available Friday 3-7, Sat/Sun 12-7. Advanced orders available on their website for pick up. 

🍸Revolution Spirits open for bottle to go orders Fri/Sat 1-7pm.  They are right next to Last Stand and you can easily support two local spots with one stop of the car.  They have a limited amount of their recent release Farmhouse Raspberry Liqueur as well as the Rye Barrel Aged Austin Reserve Gin.  Limited supplies on both. 

 🍺Vista Brewing open for pick up orders Friday 4-9, Sat/Sun 1-9. They have a farm stand on site with local grocery items and all their walking trails are open during the brewer shutdown.  Releasing Cuvee Cerise today, a mixed cultured wild ale with tart cherry.  Also Friday night returns their music series, Driftwood Nights.  Starting at 7pm David Touchton will be playing till 9pm. 

 🍺 Roadrunners Bar and Grill Full Service bar and grill next to Drip YMCA.  Lots of family friendly activities and a nice drink and tap list. Live music tonight at 7pm from Spicy Loops.  Putt Putt, darts, music and drinks.  

🍺 Hill Country Tasting Room Open Friday 3-7; Sat/Sun 2-7.  Have you been here yet?  They have a great selection of local wine, beers, ciders and meed. Great prices and just a really cool vibe.  Check them out!

🍺 Hitmaker Brewing Open Friday 4-8pm, Sat/Sun 12-7pm.
