Holy crap, it's Labor Day weekend already!  That means it's football season (we hope!), baseball playoffs (once again, we hope) and that cool fall air is not far away.  I'm putting this out on Thursday just in case anyone is looking to get a jump start on their long holiday weekend.  

Friday night we are kicking off the test run neighborhood garage crawl in Headwaters.  We have almost 30 houses participating in a fun socially distant activity that will support our local breweries.  I'm really looking forward to the feedback we get on the event after it's over.  I hope this is a concept we can help promote in other Drinking Springs communities to help give our local breweries some much needed support during the ever changing pandemic business landscape.  Stay tuned for follow up info/photos from the event.

Labor Day Weekend Roundup.

🍺Acopon open 2-6 Friday/Saturday and 1-5 Sunday for cans to go and you can not enjoy your beer outside on the patio.  There will be food offerings from Yapa Empanadas as well as Fat Baby Burgers.  Back on tap this weekend Dorian DH IPA.

🍺 One Shot Distillery open 5-10 Thursday/Friday and new hours for Saturday 12p-10p; Sunday 12p- 8p. Onsite drink service and growler fills. Yes you can buy and consume your beverage on site as well as support the food truck- Dripping Wings.  .    

🍺 Last Stand Brewing Company open 12-6 Friday/Saturday and 2-6 Sunday. Lots of beer to go options and signature slushees- order ahead online.  Beer Garden is open to enjoy your to go cans before you go.  Tons of shade. Texas Forever Lager is back on the shelf this week. 

🍺 Beerburg  Open 3-8 Friday, 12-8 Sat/Sun for onsite and to go orders. F Restaurant onsite with outdoor seating.  They have been hosting weekly virtual happy hours every Thursday, be sure to check it out this coming week.  If you haven't eaten here yet I highly recommend it! 

🍸 Treaty Oak Distilling open 12-9 Fri-Sun. Full restaurant and plenty of outdoor space to socially distance. Food, drinks, open space....the onsite restaurant- Alice's Restaurant, has opened back up for 5 day a week service Wed-Sun.  Also drop them a vote for best craft whiskey by voting online.  Link on their FB page.  They are also offering a single barrel barrel select whiskey tasting that comes with a special tasting, bottle, BBQ and discounts on additional purchases.  Tickets on sale on the website. 

🍺 Jester King Brewery open 12-8. Reservation only. Lots of open space and great food options. Visit their website for reservation details.  Check out Jeffrey Stuffings (co founder of Jester King) on the Brewbound Frontlines webcast Thursday at 3pm.  Link to stream on their FB page. 

🍺12 Fox Beer Co Open 12-9 Friday/Saturday; 12-7.  Beer garden is open, lots of spread out tables to enjoy food and music.  Up this week they have PigPen BBQ (so good!) set up serving great food while you can enjoy music from Mandi Powell Friday starting at 5:30, and Nick Bakay Acoustic on Saturday starting at 4pm. 

🍸 Frog Pond Distillery open Saturday for bottle sales 1-6.  They offering premade mocktails of their signature drinks to go that can be picked up and then alcohol added when you get home.  

🍺 Twisted X Brewing Open Friday/Saturday 11-9 and Sunday 12-8. tasting room is open, Daniele's Pies making pizza and lots of open space to enjoy your drinks/pizza.  Twisted X has opened up the parking lot and areas around the tasting room, if you haven't been recently you should check it out.  Thursdays are allday happy hour with $1 off pints all day.

🍺 The Shady Llama sadly they are still unable to open due the executive order. Fingers crossed that will change soon, we miss the views and the Llamas!

🍺 Bell Springs Brewing Company open for pick up to go Fri-Sun 11-6.  Food truck onsite all weekend.  Check their FB page for what trucks will be there this weekend. 

🍺 Suds Monkey Brewing open 3-9 Fri/Sat, 3-7 Sunday. Pizza available onsite, tap room is open for dine in eating and the outdoor beer garden is open to the public.  Pizza specials all weekend long. 

🍸 Desert Door Tasting room is back open!  Thursday from 6-7:30pm they will be streaming their 3rd Annual Mesquiteers Fest (Link on FB page) advanced purchase required, check FB for details.  . They have thier Wild Texas Music Series back for onsite entertainment starting at 5pm.  This week: Friday-Meagan Tubb, Saturday David Touchton, Sunday Winston Cook.

🍺 Family Business Beer Company taproom is closed. To go beer available Friday 3-7, Sat/Sun 12-7. Advanced orders available on their website for pick up. 

🍸Revolution Spirits open for dine in and take out Fri/Sat 1-7pm.  They are right next to Last Stand and you can easily support two local spots with one stop of the car.  Exciting to see them open up for onsite enjoyment again.  

 🍺Vista Brewing open for reservations and pick up orders Friday 4-9, Sat/Sun 1-9. 32oz crowlers are 3 for $25 and they are giving away crowler coozies while supplies last starting Tuesday with all orders of 3 crowlers.  Thursday night is vinyl night starting at 6pm, come listen to some house favorite records or bring one from your collection to enjoy. Friday night continues their Driftwood Nights music series.  This Friday from 7-9 come hear Adam Johnson on the outdoor stage.  Beer release Friday- Hive Mind Honey Ale will be released on Friday.  This is a collaboration with Central Texas Beekeepers.  Limited supply. 

 🍺 Roadrunners Bar and Grill Full Service bar and grill next to Drip YMCA.  Lots of family friendly activities and a nice drink and tap list. Live music Friday night 8pm- Wyatt Weaver Band; Saturday at 8pm Seventh Sun.

🍺 Hill Country Tasting Room Open Friday 3-7; Sat/Sun 2-7.  Have you been here yet?  They have a great selection of local wine, beers, ciders and meed. Great prices and just a really cool vibe.  $18 growler fills all week long. 

🍺 Hitmaker Brewing Open for beer to go Thursday/Friday 4-6pm.

Welp, there you go.  Labor Day Weekend is here, summer is coming to a close and we are starting to see more and more local businesses open up.  Head out and support as many of the Drinking Springs breweries, wineries and distilleries as you can and make this weekend a great one!
